6.2 Operating States
[O] The Instagrid ONE is in the [O] state when the rotary switch is in position
, the charging input is not connected to the mains supply and all LEDs
[5] have gone out. In this state, the main accumulator is neither connected to
the charging input [8] nor with the output [4 | 9], but is in standby mode, which
is left as soon as the charging input is connected to the mains supply. Use this
operating state if you temporarily do not want to supply a connected consumer
with energy.
[Charging] The Instagrid ONE is in the [Charging] state when the rotary switch is in posi-
tion and the charging input is connected to the mains supply. The LEDS
display a progress animation in green. In this state, the main accumulator is
connected to the charging input [8], the output [4 | 9] is de-energised. Use this
operating state if you wish to recharge the Instagrid ONE after use or to charge
the Instagrid ONE prior to an extended storage period, see [Chapter 9.1.].
Note: The connector of the charging cable must rst be plugged in at the Ins-
tagrid ONE and then turned clockwise until it audibly engages.
Note: As soon as all LEDs are permanently lit in green, the actual charging op-
eration is complete, but the cells are still subjected to a balancing program for
approx. 60 minutes. It is recommended to disconnect the Instagrid ONE from
the mains supply only after this time has elapsed.
Note: It is possible to connect the Instagrid ONE to the mains supply via the
charging input as long as the rotary switch [3] is still in position and
to start the charging operation at any time after the rotary switch has been
turned to position .
[Transport] The Instagrid ONE is in [Transport] mode when the rotary switch is in position
and all LEDs [5] have gone out. There is no electrically conductive connec-
tion between input [8], output [4 | 9] and internal electronics. As a special
feature, the internal energy accumulator is completely inactive in this state and
subdivided into individual battery modules with an energy content of less than
100 Wh between which there is no conductive connection. In this mode, the
starter battery [Chapter 6.4.] can be charged by connecting the charging input
to the mains supply. Always use this operating state when you would like to
either store [Chapter 9.1.] or transport [Chapter 9.2.] the Instagrid ONE.
