4. Switch on the Intel
®
Cockpit GCS by pushing and holding the POWER switch for some
seconds until it vibrates shortly.
5. The first time the Intel
®
Falcon™ 8+ UAS and the Intel
®
Cockpit GCS are powered up, the
Status Display will show the Start Screen and it is necessary to set up the connection
between Intel
®
Falcon™ 8+ UAS and Intel
®
Cockpit GCS. To do so, follow these steps:
1) Push the ENT button of the Status Display. The screen to enter the serial number (5-
digit serial number of the Intel
®
Falcon™ 8+ UAS, printed on the top side of the Intel
®
Falcon™ 8+ UAS above the battery compartment) will appear. The first digit is
highlighted.
2) Push ENT to activate the first digit.
3) Enter the first digit of the serial number by using the arrow RIGHT/LEFT buttons to
increase/ decrease the number.
4) RIGHT increases the number, LEFT decreases it.
5) Push ENT to confirm the first digit. The next digit can be entered.
6) Repeat this five times (for every digit).
7) Push ENT to confirm the serial number. OK is highlighted.
8) Push ENT and the connection will be established
6. The next time the system is powered on, these settings will be recalled and the
connection will be established automatically.
8.5.2 Initial Setup of the Intel
®
Cockpit GCS Tablet
1. Switch on the touch screen Tablet by pushing the Power switch on the top edge, right
side. A short vibration can be felt.
2. The first time the touch screen Tablet is started, it is necessary to set the system time
and time zone.
1) Tap, hold and drag the respective value on the screen. When set, confirm with APPLY
SETTINGS.
If the SKIP SETTINGS is selected, there will be a warning that projects might have incorrect data
and time values. At the next start, the time and date settings will be presented again.
Once the settings are applied, the time and date settings screen will only be shown again after
a software update of the touch screen Tablet.
