BEFORE TAKEOFF
1. Launch Area Clear & Safe For Operations
The RPIC will verify the launch area and planned flight path are clear of all traffic.
2. Wind Check Direction & Speed
3. Ready Command “READY”
TAKEOFF/CLIMB
Center the right control stick and push the left control stick
completely up to ascend.
Center the right control stick
and push the left control
stick almost completely up.
The aircraft will lift off very
quickly. Be prepared to
reduce thrust quickly after a
safety distance to the ground
is reached.
Once at a safe height, bring
back the left control stick to
the center.
Once in the air, use the right
control stick to compensate
for the wind.
Once in the air, control all
the axes manually.
1. Right control Centered
2. Left control Full forward, then centered
3. Check Intel
®
Cockpit GCS status and accelerate to climb speed.
Note: Violation of these procedures and safety precautions may result in the loss of
warranty.
Note: In Manual-Mode, the flight system will automatically descend when there is not enough
thrust. Give at least 50% thrust to maintain height (depending on the attached
payload).
