distorted (bulging) or

capability
Further inspect to determine integrity
of the Intel® Powerpack™ Battery as a
reliable power source. Inspect to
ensure both battery compartments are
fully operational.
Diminishing battery capacity may
indicate impending failure due to
exhausted service life, internal, or
external damage.
An electrical hazard may be present,
posing a risk of fire or extreme heat
negatively impacting aircraft structures,
aircraft performance characteristics,
and flight duration.
Assess the need and extent of repairs
that may be needed for continued safe
flight operations.
Remote Pilot Action:
Use commercially
available canned
compressed air to
remove dirt and
debris from the
connector. Remove
moisture
Distorted Batteries
are unserviceable
Further Action:
Requires Repair from
Service Depot.
OPERATIONAL CHECKS
8.7.1 Overview
Operational Checks are performed by the crew after any maintenance is done on certain
systems (as directed in the Maintenance Manual) or as necessary to confirm systems are
functioning as intended. Operational checks must be performed by a current Remote Pilot
trained on the Intel
®
Falcon™ 8+ UAS. A Visual Observer is required for all operational checks
when the aircraft is flown as part of the check.
