Privacy and Property Rights
As the operator of an UAS, the Remote Pilot must comply with all applicable laws, especially
privacy, property, and copyright laws. This includes some, not all, examples of types of rules
that may apply in the jurisdiction in which the Intel® Falcon™ 8+ UAS is operated. Always consult
the laws of the flight jurisdiction before operating the Intel® Falcon™ 8+ UAS, as jurisdictions
have different laws.
Monitoring and filming public areas where individuals are staying may only be permitted
under limited circumstances, for a number of reasons, which may include without
limitation: safety, privacy, and any required notice.
Monitoring and filming private areas may require the prior consent of the owner and,
potentially, any residents or visitors.
Filming individuals and using their pictures (such as posting them on social media or
sharing them with others) may infringe on an individual’s rights in his/her own image
under copyright.
Take-offs and landings of the Intel® Falcon™ 8+ UAS may only be allowed with prior
consent of the owner of the property on which the take-offs/landings were to occur.
Violations of applicable laws and regulations, which may include, without limitation, laws
or regulations governing the examples referenced above, may lead to consequences
such as, without limitation, penalties, damages, claims from individuals, or criminal
prosecution.
This information is provided for informational purposes, and it is and shall not be deemed to
be an exhaustive description of scenarios under which laws may govern and legal consequences
may arise. This information is not designed to provide, nor shall it be deemed to constitute, any
legal advice or include any kind of warranty regarding the usability of the UAS. Please contact
legal counsel for any binding advice on the use of the Intel® Falcon™ 8+ UAS in the applicable
jurisdiction.
10.1.3 Weather
Operations shall not continue when weather is out of tolerance. RPIC should continue to
monitor weather conditions after launch. Changing weather could degrade flight performance,
onboard sensors, or decrease mission endurance time.
Operators must also consider the effect of extreme weather on personnel and ground
equipment. For example, hot environments can produce heat casualties and cause electronics
to overheat.
10.1.4 Terrain
The Intel
®
Falcon™ 8+ UAS is limited by line of sight for operator control. Careful planning is
important for line of sight operations. This is especially important for low flying missions.
Operating the Intel
®
Falcon™ 8+ UAS close to power lines, power transformers or other areas
with high electromagnetic disturbances, or in urban canyons, can have severe effects on the
