This item is applied only to the case where DLN-6390 is used.
Max. sewing speed of this sewing machine is 5,000 sti/min (normal speed : 4,500 sti/min). However, when stitch length
is 3.6 mm or more, max. sewing speed is 4,500 sti/min. Select the optimum motor pulley referring to the table below.

Use the HM type V belt.
1) Use a clutch motor with an output of 400 W (1/2 HP) as the standard.
2) Relation among the motor pulley, belt length and sewing speed of the sewing machine is as shown in the table below.

1. Selecting the motor pulley and the belt
WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.
• Effective diameter of the motor pulley is obtained by subtracting 5 mm from the outside diameter.
• Direction of rotation of the motor is counterclockwise as observed from the pulley. Take care not to allow the pulley to
turn in the reverse direction.
•
When the aforementioned motor pulley and the belt are used, the chain connecting the pedal and the presser foot lifting
mechanism may interfere with the motor due to the kind of the motor. In this case, change the length of the aforemen-
tioned belt and adjust the position of the motor to the position where the motor does not interfere with the chain.
