. ADJUSTING THE SEWING MACHINE
1. Adjusting the height of the needle bar
1) Turn the handwheel to bring the needle bar to the
lowest position of its stroke, and loosen setscrew
1
in
the needle bar clamp.
2) Set gauge for the height of needle bar

supplied as
accessories to installing plane
3
of the throat plate
as shown in the gure, make bottom end
4
of the
needle bar come in contact with plane

(section A of
engraved marker) of gauge for the height of needle bar

, and tighten setscrew

in the needle bar clamp.
WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.
