Five fan modules for cooling the services gateway and its components. Four fan
modules are required for proper air flow across the chassis internal components. The
fifth fan module provides redundancy.
Fan modules
Two power supply slots. Two 1600W AC or two 1100W DC power supply units (1+1
redundancy) are provided with the services gateway.

The cooling system in an SRX4600 Services Gateway consists of five fan modules (4+1 redundancy) located
at the rear of the chassis.
Fan Module
The five fan modules are numbered 0 through 4 from counting left to right. Each fan module slot has a
fan icon next to it. Figure 12 on page 33 shows the fan module.
