power OFF at the main disconnect switch.

the adjusting screw clockwise at the low

the correct tension and track evenly.

Delivery Ribbon Replacement
Delivery ribbons stretch over time. When the
tension on the delivery ribbons can no longer be
adjusted, the entire set of ribbons must be
replaced.
Ribbons that break should be replaced
immediately. The entire set of ribbons should be
replaced in order to avoid excessive stress on only
one new, slightly shorter ribbon. At a minimum, it
is recommended that ribbons be replaced in pairs.
Replacing Broken or Missing Delivery
Ribbons
1. Verify the replacement ribbons are the cor-
rect size and there is sufficient quantity to
complete the procedure. See the PARTS
LIST.
2. Turn the power OFF at the main discon-
nect switch.
3. Open the end frame doors and locate the
adjusting screws (Figure 7-18, A), which
secure the delivery idler roll bearings in
position. Loosen the locknuts (B) and back
off each adjusting screw the same num-
ber of turns counterclockwise until the rib-
bons are easily moved by hand.
4. If replacing all of the ribbons, remove the
ribbons at this time. Otherwise, remove a
ribbon from both ends of the unit and use
one or both as replacement ribbons. These
end ribbons can then be replaced by a pair
of new ribbons.
5. Move to the front or rear of the unit at the
position where the ribbon is missing. Fold
the replacement ribbon in half with the
seams on the inside. Do not crease the
ribbon.
Perform only when the unit is OFF
(with power disconnected) and COOL.
