Check/Clean Combustion
Blower Wheel
The combustion blower wheel is located in the
lower left end frame. Weekly inspection and
cleaning is required to ensure proper operation.
1. Turn the power OFF at the main discon-
nect switch.
2. Remove the combustion blower air filter
to access the blower wheel (Figure 4-13).
3. Use a vacuum to remove lint and foreign
material from around and between the
blower wheel blades.
4. Install the combustion air filter. Make sure
the filter is installed with the handle to-
wards the outside of the filter housing.
5. Open the left end frame door. Remove
the clamp securing the discharge hose to
the combustion blower housing (Figure
4-14). Move the hose out of the way and
repeat Step 3.
6. Make sure the blower wheel is free to
turn without excessive binding.
7. Position the discharge hose on to the com-
bustion blower housing and secure it in
place with the tightened clamp.
Perform only when the unit is OFF
(with power disconnected) and COOL.
