Exhaust Blower Motor Rotation Checkout
Follow these steps to verify the correct rotation
of the exhaust blower motor.
1. Turn the power ON at the main discon-
nect switch.
2. Start the unit by pressing the green
START button and immediately press a
red STOP button.
3. Look at the vented end cap of the blower
motor as it slows down. The rotation di-
rection should be clockwise (Figure 2-26).
WARNING
Only a qualified electrician
should make or correct any
electrical connections in or
to the unit.
4. If the rotation of the exhaust blower mo-
tor is not clockwise, turn the power OFF
at the main disconnect switch.
5. Open the main electrical box.
6. To correct the rotation direction, discon-
nect and interchange any two of the three
wires connected to terminals L16, L17,
and L18 (Figure 2-27). For single phase,
check the specification plate on the mo-
tor for proper connection.
7. Close the door to the main electrical box.
8. Repeat Steps 1 to 3 to make sure the ex-
haust blower motors are rotating in the
correct direction.
