Step6.Graspthehandleontherearofthepowersupplyandslidethepowersupplyforwardintothe
power-supplybayuntilitclicks.Makesurethatthepowersupplyconnectsfirmlyintothe
power-supplyconnector.
Step7.Routethepowercordthroughthehandleandcabletieifany,sothatitdoesnotaccidentally
becomeunplugged.
Step8.Connecttheotherendsofthedcpowercabletothedcpowersource.Cutthewirestothecorrect
length,butdonotcutthemshorterthan150mm(6inch).Ifthepowersourcerequiresring
terminals,youmustuseacrimpingtooltoinstalltheringterminalstothepowercordwires.The
ringterminalsmustbeULapprovedandmustaccommodatethewiresthataredescribedonpage
“Replacingahot-swapdcpowersupply”onpage243.Theminimumnominalthreaddiameter
ofapillarorstudtypeofterminalmustbe4mm;forascrewtypeofterminalthediametermust
be5.0mm.
Step9.Turnonthecircuitbreakerforthedcpowersourcetowhichthenewpowersupplyisconnected.
Step10.MakesurethatthegreenpowerLEDsonthepowersupplyarelit,indicatingthatthepowersupply
isoperatingcorrectly.
Step11.Ifyouarereplacingapowersupplytotheserver,attachtheredundantpowerinformationlabelthat
comeswiththisoptionontheservercovernearthepowersupplies.
