defined as an out-of-frame (OOF) condition (five
consecutive errored STS-1 framing patterns) that
lasts for at least 3 milliseconds.
Likely causes: Failure of the OLIU circuit pack at
the near end, failure of the OLIU circuit pack at the
far end, or failure of the receive fiber.
inc. OC3 LOS CR or MN The system has detected loss-of-signal (LOS)
condition on the OC-3 line.
Likely causes: Failure of the OLIU circuit pack at
near end, failure of the OLIU circuit pack at far end,
or failure of the receive fiber.
