18. Attach the nylon sling (Y).
WARNING
Be sure to use the dedicated nylon sling.
CAUTION
• Attach the nylon sling making sure it is not
twisted.
• Attach the nylon sling making sure it does
not become caught on the grease nipple on
the top of the boom.
19. Use the fly jib remote controller (R) to extend
the boom and align the hole positions before
inserting the position pin (A3) in the upper
hole (a3).
WARNING
• Do not extend the boom more than is
necessary.
• Never insert fingers into the pin holes. Align
the hole positions visually.
CAUTION
• When extending the boom, operate it
slowly, checking that the sling does not
become detached.
20. Use the fly jib remote controller (R) to retract
the boom, and remove the nylon sling.
21. Press the Home switch on the monitor to
cancel the fly jib installation/stowage mode.
22. Turn the starter switch to the OFF position,
disconnect the fly jib remote controller (R),
and stow it back inside the cab.
Coil the curled cable twice on the hook.
23. Reconnect the left side of the main boom tip
and the harness on the left side of the fly jib
base using the following procedure:
IMPORTANT
• Be sure to reconnect the harness. The fly jib
cannot be operated unless the harness is
reconnected.
• Check that the harness connectors are
securely inserted after reconnecting.
• Fit plugs to protect the unused connectors.
