[If no single hook is fitted to the fly jib]
If no single hook is fitted, refer to the following
procedures:
25. Remove the wire rope (12) connected to the
hook block using the following procedure:
IMPORTANT
Take care to avoid irregular winding of the
wire rope.
After lowering the hook block to the
ground, attempting to further unwind and
lower the hook will cause irregular winding
of the wire rope inside the winch drum.
Therefore, do not unwind any further.
1. Fully retract the main boom, and lower it
to an angle of approximately 20
degrees.
2. Unwind the winch to lower the hook
block until it is almost touching the
ground.
3. Lower the boom to lower the hook to the
ground.
4. Remove the bolt (39) to pull out the
wedge socket pin (38) and remove the
wedge socket (37) from the main boom.
5. Remove the wire clip (40).
6. Remove the rope wedge (41) by lightly
tapping with a hammer in the direction
indicated by the arrow (a) on a 6 mm to
8 mm diameter round bar (A) placed
against the rope wedge (41).
7. Pull out the wire rope (12) from the
hook.
8. Remove the wire rope (12) from the
overwinding detector weight (42).
9. Pull out the wire rope (12) entirely from
the three sheaves (8) at the end of the
main boom.
10. Attach the overwinding detector weight
(42) on the weight hook (25) on the left
side of the fly jib mounting bracket (27).
