22. Press the Home switch to cancel fly jib
installation/stowage mode.
23. Turn the starter switch to the OFF position,
disconnect the fly jib remote controller (R),
and stow it back inside the cab.
Coil the curled cable twice on the hook.
Store the sling in the tool box, and leave the
lever block attached.
24. Use the hook stowage lever to take up the
slack in the wire rope (12).
CAUTION
Do not stow the hook with the override switch
turned ON. This will prevent switching to
hook stowage mode and may damage the
hook stowage rope (13) bracket, the boom,
and the wire rope (12). Always use the hook
stowage lever to stow the hook.
[Removing and stowing a single hook]
25. Remove the wire rope connected to a single
hook (10) using the following procedure:
IMPORTANT
• Take care to avoid irregular winding of the
wire rope.
• After lowering the hook block to the
ground, attempting to unwind and lower the
hook will cause irregular winding of the
wire rope inside the winch drum. Do not
unwind further. Otherwise, there is a risk of
damaging the jib itself, the lever block (X),
or wire (13).
1. Fully retract the main boom, and lower it
to an angle of approximately 20
degrees.
2. Unwind the winch to lower the single
hook (10) until it is almost touching the
ground.
3. Lower the boom to lower the single
hook (10) to the ground.
4. Remove the bolt (50) and washer (51)
to pull out the wedge socket pin (49)
and remove the wedge socket (37) from
the single hook (10).
5. Remove the wire clip.
6. Remove the rope wedge (41) from the
wedge socket (37) by lightly tapping
with a hammer in the direction indicated
by the arrow (a) on a 6 mm to 8 mm
diameter round bar (A) placed against
the rope wedge (41), and then remove
the wire rope (12).
