3. Remove the lock bolt (6) at the end of the
telescoping cylinder inside the boom, then
rotate the boom extending wire adjustment
bolt (9) clockwise.
If the No. 8 boom extends as the adjustment
bolt (9) is rotated, the boom extending wire
(5) is correctly tensioned.
If the No. 5 boom does not extend, refer to the
"Wire rope adjustment" section and adjust.
4. With the boom horizontal, inspect the gap (a)
between the No. 4 and No. 5 booms to check
if it is 5 mm or more when fully retracted.
If the gap is 5 mm or more, refer to the "Wire
rope adjustment" section and adjust.
