Performing Leak Area Troubleshooting
If the radio fails the vacuum leak test, the leak area must be identified and serviced or replaced.
Prerequisites: Label the original components or kits with a marker or sticker to avoid confusion.
Procedure:
Prepare a golden sample for troubleshooting reference.
IMPORTANT: Golden sample kit must pass the vacuum leak test.

Performing Back Chassis Sub-Assembly Troubleshooting
Procedure:
1. Replace the back chassis subassembly.
2. Watch for pinching of main O-ring, battery connector seal and SIM card door seal during assembly.
3. Perform leak test following the steps from Performing Vacuum Leak Test on page 121, or Performing
Hand Pump Vacuum Leak Test on page 123.
4. Perform one of the following actions:
Option Actions
Pass Troubleshooting ends here.
Fail Continue to step 5.
5. Reassemble back chassis subassembly onto the golden sample kit and perform a vacuum leak test.
6. Perform one of the following actions:
Option Actions
Pass Back chassis subassembly can be reused.
Fail Scrap the back chassis subassembly.
7. Proceed with Performing Bottom Connector Sub-Assembly Troubleshooting on page 125.

Performing Bottom Connector Sub-Assembly Troubleshooting
Procedure:
1. Replace the bottom connector subassembly.
2. Watch for pinching of bottom connector O-ring.
3. Perform leak test following the steps from Performing Hand Pump Vacuum Leak Test on page 123.
4. Perform one of the following actions:
