F1, F2 and F3 Faults
When the melter detects an F1, F2 or F3 fault:
1. The automatic scan stops and the melter begins to monitor the potential
fault for up to two minutes. The ready and heater LEDs remain on during
the two minute period. If during the two minutes the melter determines
that the fault condition no longer exists, the melter reverts to normal
mode.
2. The LED on the affected component key (tank, hose or gun) lights up to
indicate the type of component that has, or is, failing.
3. The type of fault (F1, F2 or F3) appears in the right display.
4. The component that is or was failing appears in the left display as
follows:
S If the LED on the tank key is on, the left display shows either 1 for
the grid or 2 for the reservoir.
S If the LED on the hose or gun key is on, the left display shows the
number of the affected hose or gun.
5. If after the two-minute monitoring period the fault still exists, the Ready
LED goes off, the red Fault LED turns on, the heaters turn off and the
melter records the fault in the fault log. Refer to Fault Log in this section.
To be able to put the melter back into operation, the fault must be remedied
and the melter reset. Refer to Resetting Melter.
