66 Chapter 6 Using CallPilot Manager to monitor hardware
To run a diagnostic test
ATTENTION
Nortel recommends that you cour tesy stop rather than stop a component if
possible. For instructions, see "Starting and stopping components" (page 62).
Step Action
1
Run CallPilot Manager and log in.

In CallPilot Manager, click Maintenance Maintenance Admin.
Result: The Maintenance screen appears.

Click the plus sign (+) beside the CallPilot server to expand the
component tree.

Continue clicking the plus sign (+) until the component with which
you want to work is visible.

Click the hardware component for which you want to run diagnostics.
Result: The Maintenance screen refreshes to show details about
the component.

Scroll down to the Maintenance section, and ensure that the
component is out of service.
Note: For instructions on taking the component out of service,
see "To start or stop a component" (page 63).

Scroll down to the Diagnostics section.

Check the check box for each diagnostic that you want to run.
Note: If you want to run all of the diagnostics, check the
Diagnostic Description check box at the top of the list.

Click Run.
Result: A new web browser window opens to display the progress
and results of the diagnostics. The Diagnostic Results box in the
Diagnostics section displays diagnostic results when you click Get
Last Result.

Viewing the last diagnostic results
You can review the results of previously run diagnostics by clicking the Get
Last Results button for a component.
