D-72 Programming 590 Series DC Digital Drive
MAIN PORT (P1)
Use this block to configure the drive's P1 port.
Refer to Appendix A: “Serial Communications” – Main Port P1 for further information.
This function block configures the drive to use the plug-in communication Option Board.
The P1 port is a non-isolated serial communications port built in to the drive's Control Board.
It is used off-line (while the drive is stopped) for transferring and saving drive configuration
files using a personal computer (PC) running a serial communications program, or on-line
(while the drive is running) when using the Parker SSD Drives 5703 Setpoint Repeater Unit.
You can also use the P1 port to transfer configuration files by connecting to a PC running the
Windows
TM
compatible software package "DSE Lite". Refer to the DSE manual
HA471486U001.
