3.1 Gap between knife back and clamp edge

You can readjust clamp 1 with respect to cutting line 2 as follows:
76 cm machines
- Slacken screws 3 and thus clamp guideway 4 on the left and right back of the
clamp.
- Put shims 5 between clamp 1 and clamp guideway 4 to adjust the required width
of gap s. Putting in shims will reduce the gap by the thickness of the shim, while
removing shims will widen the gap.
The shims are 0.05 mm and 0.2 mm thick. Please refer to the Spare Parts Catalogue
in the Operating Manual.
- Tighten the clamp guideways and use a feeler gauge to check gap s over the entire
cutting width.
