3.1 Gap between knife back and clamp edge

Figure 9 shows shims 3 under preloaded roller guides 4, i. e. the factory setting of the
position of clamp 1 with respect to cutting line 2.
Putting in a shim 3 between clamp 1 and roller guide 4 will reduce gap s by the thick-
ness of the shim, while removing shim 3 will widen the gap.
Putting in a shim 3 between guide bar 9 and roller guide 4 will increase gap s by the
thickness of the shim, while removing shim 3 will reduce the gap.
The procedure is described under "Play in the clamp guideway".
