Select the sensor type to which the measurement is to be
assigned. This selection button provides information on the type
(e.g. Free chlorine) and input (e.g. AI1). Press this key to change
the parameters.
8.1.2.7 Temperature compensation (pH or conductivity)
The pH measurement is dependent on the temperature of the
sample medium. You have the option of selecting a temperature
sensor (if one is installed) under
‘Temperature compensation’
. The
temperature sensor is used to adjust the measurement, correlated
to the temperature of the sample medium. The value displayed is
then the compensated value and no longer the measured value.
Make sure that your sensor is not already fitted with internal tem‐
perature compensation. Adding a new compensation would distort
the measurement.
The input of the compensation factor becomes active when you
select a temperature sensor. You need to enter the required value.
Press the selection field to open the numeric keyboard. Enter the
desired value. A setting of -99.0 ... + 99.0 %/°C is possible.
8.1.2.8 Calculation options for free chlorine, active chlorine and active bromine
Calculation options:
n Installed: Sensor for free chlorine and pH value; active chlorine
is calculated.
n Installed: sensor for free bromine and pH value; active bromine
is calculated.
n Installed: sensor for active chlorine and pH value; free chlorine
is calculated.
pH sensor PI1: select the pH sensor, which is to be linked to the
calculation. The selection button provides the selected sensor
information (PI1). Press the selection button to change the values.
Temperature sensor: the pH measurement is dependent on the
temperature of the sample medium. You have the option of
selecting a temperature sensor (if one is installed) under
‘Temperature compensation’
. The temperature sensor is used to
adjust the measurement, correlated to the temperature of the
sample medium. The value displayed is then the compensated
value and no longer the measured value.
It is possible to select a temperature compensation sensor to
adjust the pH value to the temperature of the sample medium. This
sensor is an option and is not included in the basic calculation.
8.1.2.9 Calculation options for chloramine
Calculation options:
n Installed: sensor for free chlorine and total chlorine; chloramine
is calculated.
Select the total chlorine sensor, which is to be linked to the calcula‐
tion. Change the sensor information (AI1).
Select the pH sensor, which is to be linked to the calculation.
