Disconnecting from a Port
The Disconnect button on the Communications Status window allows you to
immediately halt communications over a line.
To disconnect from a port:

With the Communications Status window open, highlight the name of the
port from which you want to disconnect.
The highlighted port appears in the detail area of the Communications Status
window.

Click the Disconnect button.
A dialog box is displayed asking you to confirm that you want to disconnect.

Click Yes to disconnect or Cancel to allow communication to continue.
If you have disconnected the communication, a manual disconnect entry is
recorded in the system operations log.
