Waste Toner Agitator
The printer uses a vertical waste toner path located on the right side. This path is
comprised of these two items:
• The waste toner path of the transfer-belt cleaning unit [A]
• The waste toner collection unit [C] ( 6.6.4)
In the vertical waste toner path is a spring-like component, the waste toner agitator
[B]. The top end of the waste toner agitator forms a circle, which hangs from the
drive-gear shaft of the transfer-belt cleaning unit. The drive-gear shaft has a cam-
like structure. The waste toner agitator moves along the vertical waste toner path
when the gear-shaft turns.
The waste toner agitator agitates the waste toner in the vertical waste toner path.
This process ensures that waste toner does not become blocked in the waste toner
path.
