Troubleshoot I/O
Communication Modules
The status indicators on the communication modules provide system power
and DeviceNet power indications.

System Power Off • Device is not active.
• DeviceNet power is off, or
dc-dc converter problem is
present.
1. Verify DeviceNet power is on, and apply power if needed.
2. Verify backplane power not exceeded, and correct, as needed.
3. Replace 1734-PDN module.
Green • System power is on.
• dc-dc converter is active
(5V).
None.
DeviceNet Power Off • Device is not active.
• DeviceNet power is off.
Apply DeviceNet 24V power.
Green Power is on with 24V present. None.
