• Using the valve spring compressor Q and a clampW or
other suitable equipment, compress the valve spring E
and then remove the half-cones R .
• Release the valve spring.
• Remove the valve spring retainer T and the spring E and
take out the valve Y.

• Clean all residues out of the combustion chamber and clean
any mineral deposits off the cooling chamber.
• Check that the spark plug thread and the bore thread in the
cylinder head are in perfect condition.
• Check that the seal contact surface is flat with no signs of
damage.
• Clean the camshaft lubrication oil ducts.
Valve guide
• To measure the extent of wear on the valve guides in the
cylinder head, insert a new valve U into the valve guide O
from the combustion chamber side I and press it in until it
touches the valve stem oil seal.
• With the valve in this position, measure the max. clearance
of the valve in its valve guide, using a gauge P set at 90°
to the valve stem axis.
Wear limit ☞ lateral movement (K)
max. 0.5 mm
• If any of the valve guides is over the wear limit, it must be
replaced.

attrezzo adeguato compremere la molla valvola E, quindi
togliere i semiconi R .
• Scaricare la molla valvola.
• Rimuovere il piattello molla valvola T e la molla E ed
estrarre la valvola Y.

• Pulire la camera di combustine da residui e la camera di
refrigerazione da residui calcarei.
• Controllare se il filetto della candela ed il filetto nella testata
sono in perfette condizioni.
• Controllare che la superficie di tenuta sia piana e non
danneggiata.
• Pulire i canali d’olio per lubrificazione dell’albero a camme.
Guidavalvola
• Per determinare l’usura delle guidevalvole nella testata,
inserire una nuova valvola U dal lato camera combustione
I nel guidavalvola O finché la valvola tocchi il paraolio
stelo valvola.
• Con la valvola in questa posizione determinare il gioco max.
della valvola nel suo guidavalvola, misurando con un
comparatore P posto a 90° rispetto all’asse dello stelo
valvola.
Limite di usura ☞ spostamento laterale (K)
max. 0,5 mm
• Se uno dei guidevalvole è usurato oltre il limite, il guidavalvola
deve essere sostituito.
