• Measure the diameter of the rocker arm pinsW.
Wear limit ☞ rocker arm pin diameter
D = min. 9.95 mm
Camshaft - check
• Check that the threaded bore E on the camshaft R for
fitting the timing gear is in perfect condition. Clean off any
traces of LOCTITE.
• Check that there are no cracks or deformation in the cams
(blowholes are permissible up to diam. 0.5 mm in the bearing
surfaces and between the cams). Replace the camshaft if
necessary.
Camshaft and rocker arms - refit
• Lubricate the whole of the camshaft Q and its seats with
engine oil and fit it into its seats.
◆ Note: After installing the camshaft, rotate it so
that the notch W in the face is pointing
down (towards the cylinder).
• Lubricate the pin E that bears the rocker arm and insert it
in the first seat, with the long flare F towards the front.
• Fit the thrust washerT, rocker arm R and spring washer Y
and insert the pin into the second rocker arm seat.
◆ Note: Fit the spring washer Y to the spark plug
side of the shaft. The spring washer takes
up the play of the rocker arm.
• Then fit the second rocker arm.
• Misurare il diametro dei perni bilanciere W.
Limite di usura ☞ diametro perno bilanciere
D = min. 9,95 mm
Albero a camme — controllo
• Controllare se il filetto E dell'albero a camme R per
fissaggio dell’ingranaggio distribuzione è in perfette
condizioni, pulirlo da residui di LOCTITE.
• Controllare se le camme presentano rottura di materiale
(nella zona delle sedi di appoggio e fra le camme la
presenza di soffiature è ammissibile fino a 0,5 mm diam.)
o deformazione, sostituire l’albero a camme se necessario.
Albero a camme e bilancieri — montaggio
• Lubrificare tutto l’albero a camme Q e le sue sedi con olio
motore ed inserirlo nelle sedi.
◆ Nota: Dopo aver installato l’albero a camme,
ruotarlo con l’incavo W sulla faccia rivolto
verso il basso (verso il cilindro).
• Lubrificare il perno E che supporta il bilanciere R ed
inserirlo nella prima sede, con la svasatura lunga F rivolta
verso avanti.
• Inserire il rasamento T, il bilanciere R e la rondella elastica
Y ed inserire il perno nella seconda sede bilanciere.
◆ Nota: Per mantenere il bilanciere senza gioco va
montata una rondella elastica Y al lato
candela.
• Quindi montare il secondo bilanciere.
