typicallyremovedonlywhenyouneedtoaccess
otherconsolecomponents,andmaybe
reinstalledifnodamageoccurstotheconsole
coverandgasketduringremoval.
Theconsolecov
erissealedtotheconsoleusing
RTVsiliconesealant.Peelingupoftheconsole
coverisaccomplishedbyovercomingthe
adhesionoftheRTVsealant.Damagecanoccur
tothecoverand/orgasketduringremoval,so
extremecareisneededduringtheremoval
process.Ifdamaged,replacementwithanew
cov
erorgasketwillbenecessary.
To remove console cover:
1. MakesureSegwayPTispoweredoffand
unplugged.
2. Remov
econsolecovertrim(page6‐6).

Because console cover was installed using RTV
sealant, cover strongly adheres to console. Take
care to pry cover loose slowly from console to
avoid damaging cover and gasket.
