Itisnecessarytoremovetheelectromagnetic
interference(EMI)shieldtogainaccesstothe
diagnosticinterfaceconnectorsontheconsole
radioboard.Whenreplacingtheuserinterface
console(UIC),thereplacementUICwillinclude
theEMIshield.Thereshouldbenoreasonto
replacetheEMIshieldalone.
To remove EMI shield:
1. MakesureSegwayPTispoweredoffand
unplugged.
2. Remov
econsolecover(page9‐4).
3. Remov
etheradio’santennabyliftingup
whiletwistinggentlyuntilitunseatsfrom
theradioboard.
