(f) Branch circuit protection
For installation in United States, branch circuit protection must be provided, in accordance with
the National Electrical Code and any applicable local codes.
For installation in Canada, branch circuit protection must be provided, in accordance with the
Canada Electrical Code and any applicable provincial codes.
(4) For used in Canada only:
TRANSIENT SURGE SUPPRESSION SHALL BE INSTALLED ON THE LINE SIDE OF THIS
EQUIPMENT AND SHALL BE RATED _240_ V (PHASE TO GROUND), _240_ V (PHASE TO
PHASE), SUITABLE FOR OVERVOLTAGE CATEGORY _III_, AND SHALL PROVIDE
PROTECTION FOR A RATED IMPULSE WITHSTAND VOLTAGE PEAK OF _4_ KV, or equivalent.
