The 7-segment display provides the following information:
Display Possible cause Fix the error
Not an error. Device is in measuring mode.
Idle mode, outputs are
in the OFF state, laser is
switched off.
Not an error. If the criteria for IDLE
mode are withdrawn, operational
readiness is restored.
Motor starting. Not an error.
Error in LMS.

Send the LMS500 to the
manufacturer for repair.
Connection to slave lost.
▸
Reestablish the connection to
the slave.
Temperature too low.
▸
Ensure the required ambient
temperature for measuring mode
as per the data sheet.

The DEVICE READY LED does not light up.
Fault cause Possible solution to the problem
Fuse is defective.

Check the fuse block and replace the
defective fuse if necessary.
Voltage is not switched on.

Establish the correct voltage supply.
System controller defective.
▸
Replace the system controller.
