Insulate the PROFIBUS DP cables using heat-shrink tubing
1. Cut the piece of heat-shrink tubing included in the CM IM DP Direct package into half.
2. Slide it onto the PROFIBUS Hybrid cable; approximately 7.5
+1
mm of the shielding braid
should remain visible.
3. Shrink the tubing (using a hot-air gun, for example) until it firmly encloses the
PROFIBUS DP cables.
Note
Distribute the heat of your heat source in even movements. Avoid any punctual
overheating of the heat
-shrink tubing.
