5.3.4 Online changes
Batch control makes it possible for changes to be made in the control recipe
even when the batch is running. This is referred to below as making changes
on-line.
If you wish to carry out on-line changes, you will need to
R pause execution of the control recipe and
R switch into change mode (see Page 5-13).
Now you can make the necessary changes. These can be:
R Changes in the AF or transition parameters and also the equipment
allocation
R Changes in the recipe structure
To carry out changes you should follow the same procedure as in the recipe
editor. All of the functions of the editor are available to you (see Chapter 4,
Recipe creation), provided you have the corresponding authorization.
The following restrictions apply to changes to parameters (in parameter
masks):
R Recipe header parameters (General, Products, Measuring points and
$ variables) can only be displayed and cannot be changed.
R If you wish to change AF parameters the following restrictions apply:
– $ variables are not permitted for setpoint variables.
– It will not now be possible to edit any comments which the person
creating the recipe had input.
– Quantity adjustments are not permitted since they are carried out
when the control recipe is generated. A check is made at deletion to
see whether there are steps or transitions in the selected area which are
currently being monitored by the control system. In such a case
deletion will not be permitted.
With on-line changes, structure and plausibility checks are carried out
first to see whether the structure still has transition or AF dummies or
whether parameter values fall within the specified limits. The check is
made when you exit the corresponding dialog.
Press the ’Exit’ button to close change mode. If changes have already been
made, you will be asked whether you wish to save these changes. If you reply
in the affirmation the changes will be accepted, otherwise discarded.
