6.4 Production orders
A production order is the totality of manufacturing orders (batches)
associated with a particular time and product. Production orders can either be
taken over from a higher-level production planning system (PPS) or created
directly with the aid of batch planning.
For the sake of simplicity, production orders will hereafter also be referred to
as orders.
In your planning of an order you will receive support from the system and
need only input the following information:
S Designation of the order
S Product designation and quality
S Quantity
S Engineering unit
S Earliest starting time (EST)
S Latest finishing time (LFT)
