Copying objects or non static fields
(such as single line fields) from one
report to another may not always
work. An error occurs when the re
port structure for the new layout
doesn't include this object type, or
when you're trying to paste an object
which is already contained in the par
ent object.
The Ruler
To make reports easier to create, the
work surface is equipped with hori
zontal and vertical rulers. They show
the current mouse position and the size
and position of an object during move
and resize operations.
The Grid
In many cases it's desirable for objects
and fields to have the same size and
alignment. To do this you can super
impose a grid over the work surface.
When moving or sizing an object, it au
tomatically jumps to the next grid line.
You can set the cell size by changing
the Cell Size values in the Grid dialog.
X/Y Of
fset defines the distance be
tween the object and the grid line.
