charged battery because it had to be transpor-
ted over a long distance (e.g. from overseas).
Observe the information and guidelines from
the battery manufacturer. If the battery was
obtained separately to the industrial truck, the
nominal voltage, the required minimum weight
and the attached battery male connector must
be checked particularly carefully.

Observe the safety regulations for handling battery
acid.

Replacing the battery
Battery replacement using forklift truck
The battery rests in a recess (1) as standard.
The battery is intended to be replaced using a
truck. The truck used must be suitable for this
purpose.

The fork must be of sufficient length for the
prevailing load centre of gravity.
●
The load capacity must correspond to the
weight of the battery fitted.
●
The external width of the fork must be ad-
justed to the insertion opening.
●
Adjust the fork tilt such that the battery does
not come into contact with the industrial
truck when the battery is removed.
●
The battery is not provided with a latch.

within the recess.
