• The cutter head may have been mounted too low. Spacing between the rollers of the white
nose piece and the cutting strip should be 2.8 mm (+/- 0.2 mm).
6.6 Knife plows through media
When the knife cuts in the opposite direction, then the knife separates the media by pushing
the media instead of cutting the media. This could be because the knife was set 180°. In this
case check the knife holder, probably the alignment pin became loose, and has been pushed
in the wrong position.
6.7 Ragged contours
When the knife is set in a random rotational position, then right after media was loaded, the
knife should rotate to find the knife home position, then the rotation stops and the knife is
put in its home position. In this case the two holes in the nose piece clamp for holding the
nose piece on the tool shaft should point backwards.
Usually, when the knife home position cannot be found, then the two holes in the nose piece
clamp points in a random position.
To find out if the knife home position can be found, remove media, set rotate the knife in a
random position, load media, and then check in what position the knife is.
