• Use a shielded CAT6 network cable. Prevent the network cable to touch the media support roll.
Prevent the media to touch the network cable. This to prevent static electricity discharge over
the network cable causing communication issues.
• The network cable may be defective: try another cable.
• The network socket on the cutter may be loose or defective, causing bad contact. To prevent
damage on the network socket, guide the network cable inside the stand. Replace the main
board.
• There may be a problem with the network environment. Try a direct connection between the
computer and the cutter. Use a static IP address on both the computer and the cutter. Verify
the network settings of the software used to drive the cutter for the IP address assigned to the
cutter.
8.2.1 Error messages
8.2.1.1 RTCS_init: Failed to connect
8.2.1.2 RTCS_connect: Failed to bind interface
8.2.1.3 RTCS_disconnect : Failed to unbind interface
8.2.1.4 RTCS unsupported error
Any of the above error messages usually appears when using a static IP address. Indicates
the network interface cannot connect to the network. Check network environment: cable,
wall socket, router, switch, …. Try rebooting the machine.
The network controller on the main board could be defective. Replace the main board.
