▪ When printing multiple jobs immediately one after the other, the first job may contain a
deviation, where the following jobs usually have no shifts, as the printer and media
became stabilized.
7.2 OPOS registration marks not read
When the machine is (sometimes) unable to read the registration marks, then the message
“Set tool above undetected mark!” is displayed. In this case check the following:
• The sensitivity of the OPOS sensor may have to be adjusted to match the media used. Click
[Settings] – [More] – [OPOS] – [Calibrate media (OPOS)] – [Set] to check current setting.
Normal values ranges between 30 and 90.
• The OPOS sensor has to be free of dirt. Remove vinyl residue from the sensor. Remove dust
from the optics.
• Distance in the X-direction (media movement) between the registration marks has to be equal
for all registration marks. If this is not the case, then update the software used to drive the
machine.
• The distance between two registration marks in the X-direction should not exceed 1200 mm.
Probably the job has been scaled. Probably the software driving the machine needs to be
updated.
• The size of the registration marks may be incorrect. Probably the job has been scaled.
