3. Using an oil seal installer, drive the oil seal into the housing.
The dust lipped portion of the seal should face toward the
water pump case.
Apply the grease to the seal lips.

• Inspect the driveshaft/splines for wear, twist or other damage.
Replace if necessary.
• Inspect the driveshaft bearing for pitting, rough or other dam-
age. Replace if necessary.
