POWER TILT UNIT
REMOVAL
Disconnect battery cables from battery.
Remove the motor cover.
Remove side cover.
Disconnect the PT motor cable connector 1 from the PT relay.
Remove the PT motor cable from the PORT side cover 2.
Raise the motor to the full tilt position and push in the tilt up lock
knob 3.
NOTE:
Since this outboard motor is not equipped with an engine hook,
it is necessary to install the option parts, Engine Hook (11291-
91B50) and a bolt (01550-08207).
Remove the tilt rod snap ring 4 and push tilt cylinder upper
shaft pin 5 out.
During the following procedures, the motor must be
firmly secured and its weight fully supported. (See
right.)
