BEARING INSPECTION
Wash the bearing with a cleaning solvent and lu

icate it with
motor oil before inspection. Rotate the inner race and check to
see that it tu
rn
s smooth
ly.
If it does not turn quietly and
smoothly, or if there are signs
of
any abnormalities, the bearing
is defective and must be replaced with a new one as follows.
BEARING REMOVAL
• Remove the bearing retainers.
• Remove the crankcase bearings using the special toot.
