Editing plot titles, legend and axis labels
The following options are available:
Plot title: Each overlay plot has a plot title which defaults to the overlay
number, e.g. "Overlay 1". To change a plot title, double-click on the
current plot title and enter a custom plot title into the edit field. Gallery
plot titles can be edited in the same way.
Legend: A legend can be optionally displayed on an overlay plot using
the Legend button on the Overlay Format tab. The legend can be edited
by double-clicking a label in it. A warning icon containing a tooltip is
displayed below the legend area of the plot if all the legends cannot be
displayed.
Overlay axis label: Axis labels are displayed on an overlay plot if all
parameter names of the individual plots have the same label. Otherwise,
no axis label will be displayed for the overlay plot. To change the axis
label, double-click on the axis and enter a label into the edit field. To
return the label to the default setting, press the Reset to Default button
of the edit field. The default setting is the file name from the listmode file.
Gallery axis label: Each gallery plot can have an axis label displayed, by
default this label is the parameter name from the listmode file. To change
the axis label, double-click on the axis label and enter a label into the edit
field.
The Keywords button of the edit field allows you to select from a list of
available FCS keywords present in the file header to display as the axis
label. You may combine multiple FCS headers and text to create a
customised axis label.
The Apply To All button applies the current axis label to all of the plots in
the gallery for the current overlay plot. If the plot is a dual parameter plot,
this button only sets the current axis (X or Y). Press the Reset to Default
button to return the label to the default setting.
Regions on overlay plots
Regions can be defined on overlay plots using the Region group on the
Overlay tab of the Ribbon (see chapter Region group on page 112) and will
be rendered black. When a region is moved or resized on any plot in the
overlay, it is updated accordingly in all the rest of the plots in this overlay.
Regions on the Overlays tab of the Workspace do not affect the source plots
on the Plots tab of the Workspace. Statistics for regions are only displayed in
gallery plots. Hovering the cursor over a region on a gallery plot displays a
tooltip stating the name and the statistic associated with that region.
Regions are created and edited the same way as on plots in the Plots tab of
the Workspace (see chapter Creating regions on page 165).
