RUN EXCITE: Service & Maintenance Manual - rev. 1.5
6.14. TREAD BELT MOTOR IS JERKING
The probable cause is:
• a disconnected phase either at the inverter output or on the motor;
• a failure of the belt motor encoder.
TREAD BELT
MOTOR IS
JERKING
Are the tread belt motor
windings resistance correct?
YES
1
NO
Replace the tread belt
motor
Is the continuity of cable TRM-
36 ok?
YES
NO
Replace the inverter
Replace cable TRM-36
Check if the encoder works
properly by carrying out the
troubleshooting procedure
"The encoder does not
work properly "
Follow the procedure step by step to correctly diagnose the problem. Take particular care with the
checks highlighted by circled numbers, which are described in detail below:
(1) Disconnect the cable from the motor and place a tester across its terminals U-V, U-W and V-
W. The measured value of the resistance should be 1.9 Ohm.
