8.5. ALIGNING THE TREAD-BELT MOTOR DRIVE-BELT

1. Remove the dust guard.
2. Release the spring a of the belt tensioning
mechanism.
3. Use a straight reference rod, resting it on the
pulley of the motor roller, and check the
alignment of the belt with the motor pulley.
4. Align the belt by shifting it within the races
of the two pulleys.
5. After having aligned the belt, reattach the
tension spring.
