Safety
210 Device-specicsafetyinformation
► Before switching on the machine, make sure that nobody will be placed into danger by its
start-up.
► Observe the control indicators when switching the machine on and o.
► During mixing operations, all protective covers and service aps on the machine must be
closed.
► Safety equipment must be mounted again immediately after setup, servicing, and repair
work. You must make sure that it is working properly.
► Completely switch o the machine and secure it so that it cannot be turned back on unin-
tentionally before servicing and repair work.
► Do not remove any suction, ventilation, or lling devices when the machine is running.
► Carefully and securely attach individual components and larger assemblies to the lifting aid
when replacing them.
► Use technically awless lifting aids and devices with a suitable load capacity.
► Do not stand or work under suspended loads.
► When carrying out assembly work above body height, use suitable climbing aids and work-
ing platforms that ensure your safety.
► Do not use machine parts as climbing aids.
► Use fall protection devices when carrying out servicing work at heights.
► Do not clean components such as motors, switch cabinets, electrical devices, and seals
with water jets or steam jets (high-pressure cleaners). Mask or cover components.
► Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
► Following cleaning, check all lubrication, oil, hydraulic, and pneumatic lines for leaks, loose
connections, shearing points, and damage. Rectify any defects immediately.
► Any work with the mixer hood open and work inside the mixing trough is only allowed to be
carried out with two persons present. One person observes and ensures the safety of the
other person in the mixing trough and prevents any undesired movements of the mixing
tools where necessary. This also applies to movements triggered by service workers them-
selves when they accidentally come into contact with components.
► Before closing the hood, the machine operator must carry out a visual inspection to ensure
that nobody remains inside the mixing trough.
► Before closing the hood, the machine operator must carry out a visual inspection to ensure
that there are no obstacles or forgotten assembly aids that might interfere with the awless
functioning of the mixing tools.
► Tighten any loose screw connections after servicing and repair work. Pay attention to the
tightening torques.
► An acknowledgement button must be pressed before the mixer starts again.
► Observe the intervals for adjustments, servicing, inspection work, spare part exchange, and
wearing part exchange as prescribed in the maintenance schedule.
► Observe all of the safety and operation information enclosed with these operating instruc-
tions for individual machine parts.
