211 Information about special types of danger
2111 Electrical energy
Only use original fuses with the prescribed amperage. Switch the machine o󰀨 immediately
in the case of a fault in the electricity supply.
Before carrying out inspection, servicing, and repair work, disconnect machine parts and
system parts from the electricity supply.
Check that the disconnected machine parts and system parts are not live, and earth and
short circuit them.
Isolate any adjacent machine parts and system parts that still carry a voltage.
In the case of work on live machine parts and system parts, a second person must be pres-
ent in order to activate the EMERGENCY OFF function or the main switch to disconnect the
electricity supply if an emergency occurs.
Cordon o󰀨 the working area with a red and white safety cordon. Display a warning sign.
Use insulated tools.
Check the machine's electrical equipment regularly. Rectify any defects immediately.
On the control side, the machine must be tted with an overcurrent protection device and a
zero voltage release (as per EN 60204).
The customer must provide an EMERGENCY OFF device in the form of an EMERGENCY
OFF switch and a local switch.
2112 Gas, smoke, dust
Only carry out welding, ring, and grinding work on the machine where this has been ex-
pressly permitted. Risk of re and explosion. Wear personal protective equipment.
Clean the machine and surrounding work area to remove dust and combustible substances
before starting welding, ring, and grinding work.
Note the position of the re alarm and re-ghting aids.
Ensure su󰀩cient ventilation. Risk of explosion.
When working in conned spaces, tanks, or inside machines, observe the applicable na-
tional regulations.
Do not clean the machine with compressed air or oxygen.
2113 Hydraulics, pneumatics, steam, water (high pressure)
Check all lines, hoses, and screw connections regularly to make sure that there are no
leaks or noticeable damage. Rectify any defects immediately.
Replace hose lines regularly, even if no safety defects can be identied.
Liquid splashes can cause injuries.
Insulate hot lines and system parts or protect them so that they cannot be touched.
Risk of burns.
Depressurize pressure lines and system sections before starting repair work.
Lay and mount supply lines competently. Do not mix up connections.
Observe the quality requirements for ttings, hose lines, and pipes.
