9�4 Overview of faults
Fault Possible cause Remedy
Mixer stops Thermal overload of drive
motor
Once the electric motor has
cooled down, place the mixer
back into operation. If anoth-
er fault occurs, consult the
manufacturer of the plant.
Defective lines or fault in the
control system
Arrange for the motor,
switchgear, and wiring to be
checked by an expert. Re-
place any defective parts.
Damage on mixer drive Check the drive components
Foreign bodies in the mixing
trough
Remove the foreign bodies
Discharge slide does not
open
Fault in electrical control Check by electrician
Discharge slide dirty Clean the discharge slide.
Have defect in the hydraulic
system
checked by an expert
Oil level too low Add oil
Dirty intake filter Replace the intake filter
